HELLO, Cultural Foodie!

You have an adventurous spirit when it comes to food and that helps you blend in while visiting new destinations. You enjoy wandering through fresh produce or seafood markets and love nothing more than bonding with the restaurant staff over a unique meal (like these tapas we had in Madrid). You cherish the sights and smells while you’re exploring, and appreciate the local flavor in all senses.

Julia Child once said, “People who love to eat are always the best people,” and we believe there’s truth in those words. As a Cultural Foodie, you embody respect for cultures near and far, and celebrate their traditions through food.

Wander with us to explore some of our favorite destinations, along with the weird and wonderful dishes we’ve experienced along the way.

Some of the freshest, most delicious food we’ve found so far was in Costa Rica.

Fresh fruit stands are abundant throughout the country, boasting a plethora of fruits we’d never heard of (and many we had). Don’t be afraid to ask for a sample.

Casado plates are common for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s a typical Costa Rican meal consisting of rice, black beans, plantains, salad and a protein of your choice.

And, of course, there’s fresh seafood. Especially in coastal towns like Puntarenas.
